Olympics

Go for the gold in the Olympics!  Teachers, here are many different activities, posters, and games around the theme of the “Olympics”.  These Olympic resources are not just for math;  I couldn’t just pull math ideas because I, like you, have to teach all subjects.  These Olympic ideas contain activities for Preschool/Kindergarten through High School, from Science to Reading to Writing to PE to Math.  Look through them for activities that meet your Common Core State Standards needs for your grade level or subject content.

On my facebook fan page called Balanced Guided Math, you can like my page and continue to get all of these posts and updates when I make them.  On my facebook page is a Large red and white P, which will lead you to my Pinterest page for this resource and many more boards!  Then this will lead to my Pinterest boards, where you can scroll down to the board called “Olympics”.  Some of these activities are free; some are not.

Also I am sorry that this wasn’t available before the Olympics began.  Here in Indiana we have been battling the Polar Vortex.  This last week we didn’t go to school three days because of MORE snow and frigid temperatures.  During this time, our electricity went out.  Our water pipes froze to our geothermal furnace and broke.  This meant we didn’t have heat for most of our house.  More pipes broke inside our house.  The restoration team had to pull the water out of the carpet.  We had a gas fireplace that prevented the damage from getting worse.  Anyway, this sidetracked me from getting this out to you.   I did have fun finding these resources for you during all this chaos at home. 🙂  Enjoy the Olympics!
