Teachers can use this activity called Geometry Sort. It allows students to take ownerships and use logical reasoning skills by letting students choose the shape they want to analyze. They write the name of the shape, draw it, and then write the number of vertices of the shape. This activity meets Common Core State Standards for First, Second, Third, and Fourth Grade.
